Monteixo

Monteixo is a mountain summit in the Spanish Pyrenees standing at 2,905 meters and composed of conglomerate rock. Steep slopes and rocky formations shape the structure of this peak throughout.

The peak has attracted mountaineers and explorers for many decades across the Pyrenees. It became part of a recognized list of significant mountain summits in the region.

The name reflects the long connection between local shepherds and this peak, who have known these heights for generations. The community of Alins identifies with the mountain and its role as part of their highland heritage.

Mountaineering equipment and solid physical preparation are essential for the climb. The best season runs from late spring through early autumn when weather allows for safe conditions.

From the summit you can see several glacial lakes including Lake d'Aixeus at 2,400 meters. Nearby peaks such as Pic de Norís frame the view from above.
