Convento de Santa Dorotea

Convento de Santa Dorotea is an Augustinian convent in Burgos built in late Gothic style. The complex features pointed arches, stone vaults, and sculpted details that are typical of this architectural period.

The convent was founded in 1387 and moved to its present location in 1470 in the San Pedro y San Felices district. Royal patronage and ecclesiastical support helped establish it as an important religious institution.

This convent served as a center for religious life where women took vows and lived in community following monastic rules. The building stands as a reminder of how such institutions shaped spiritual practices in medieval Burgos.
