Casino La Constància

Casino La Constancia is a building in the Neo-Mudéjar style with three prominent domes on its facade and horseshoe arches adorning its doors and windows. The structure demonstrates how this architectural approach blended Arabic and local design elements into a distinctive form.

Construction took place between 1888 and 1890 under architect General Guitart i Lostaló. An expansion in 1899 added new architectural elements while maintaining the building's original style.

This gathering place brought together young men who shared interests in collecting, reading, and discussing ideas together. The building reflects how such spaces shaped the social life of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and served the town's desire for community gathering.

The building sits on Passeig dels Guíxols and now contains a restaurant where visitors can dine within a Cultural Asset of National Interest. To experience the interior, visiting as a restaurant guest is the best option.

The entrance features a medieval Catalan vault combined with an Arabic horseshoe arch, creating an unexpected blend of two distant architectural traditions. This pairing shows how different historical influences met in a single architectural element.
