L'Arrabassada

L'Arrabassada is a 550-meter stretch of golden sand beach on Tarragona's Costa Dorada coast. The sand widens to about 60 meters before meeting the Mediterranean, sloping gently into the water.

The beach earned its first Blue Flag certification in the early 1990s for environmental quality and safety standards. This recognition has been maintained through the decades since.

In summer, locals gather here for beach sports and evening socializing, making it a core part of how the community spends time outdoors. The beach serves as a natural meeting point for people of all ages throughout the warmer months.

Free parking, showers, and restrooms are available near the beach, along with a children's play area. The area is cleaned regularly, making it easy to settle in for a day by the water.

A floating platform with water slides sits roughly 35 meters offshore during summer months. It adds a playful element that many visitors don't expect to find at this coastal spot.
