Sidi Embarek Mosque

Sidi Embarek is a mosque in Ceuta featuring a square floor plan with a columned portico that serves as an ablutions courtyard. The site also includes an Islamic cemetery on the grounds, complementing the primary function of the prayer hall.

The structure was originally built in the 18th century as a marabout shrine near Serrallo Palace. In 1940, city architect José María Tejero transformed it into a mosque, establishing its present-day religious purpose.
