Parc'Ours

Parc'Ours is a wildlife sanctuary in the Aspe Valley situated on roughly 7 hectares of mountain terrain that houses bears, marmots, chamois, ibex, and birds of prey. The grounds preserve the natural mountain landscape of the region and provide animals with space in a largely undisturbed environment.

The sanctuary was founded in 2010 following a surge of local commitment to preserve wildlife and restructure the site. This creation emerged from a period of shifting management at the location.

The park functions as a place where visitors encounter Pyrenean wildlife and learn how these animals exist in their mountain habitats. Watching the animals during feeding times helps people understand the behaviors and needs of species native to this region.

The grounds are accessible throughout the year with opening hours varying by season. Visitors should plan their visit around the animal feeding times to observe the creatures in action.

Visitors aged 12 and older can take part in a caretaker program where they assist with animal care under professional guidance. This offers a rare chance to understand the daily work involved in maintaining these mountain residents.
