Cawdor Castle, Medieval castle in Highland, Scotland.
The stone fortress includes three separate gardens, a traditional Scottish tower design, and multiple decorated rooms containing art collections and historical furniture.
Construction of Cawdor Castle started in 1454 as a fortified structure, later becoming the residence of the Cawdor family for over six centuries.
Inside the castle, visitors can examine the Drawing Room with Campbell family portraits, the Tapestry Bedroom, and a stone-carved fireplace in the Dining Room.
The castle opens daily from April 26 to October 5, between 10 AM and 5 PM, with admission prices varying for adults, children, and concession holders.
At the core of the castle structure stands an ancient holly tree from 1372, which remains visible to visitors in the dungeon area.
