Church of St Peter ad Vincula, Tower Hamlets, Royal chapel in Tower of London, England
This Gothic church features a short western tower with a lantern bell-cote, a nave, and a north aisle with Tudor-style windows lacking tracery.
The current structure, completed in 1520 under Henry VIII's commission, replaced an earlier church that burned down in 1512 at the Tower of London.
The chapel maintains its role as a place of worship for the Tower community and functions as the regimental church of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
The church contains marked burial locations of executed Tower prisoners, including Anne Boleyn, through a marble floor installed during 1876 renovations.
Officers of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers retain the right to celebrate their marriage ceremonies within this grade I listed royal peculiar chapel.
