Architect Leonard Stokes designed and built the structure between 1899 and 1901 for the Anglican Society of All Saints Sisters of the Poor. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Westminster acquired the site in 1973 and has operated it as a pastoral and conference center ever since.
