Dunnichen Stone, 7th century Pictish stone at Meffan Institute, Scotland.

The Dunnichen Stone stands 1.5 meters tall and displays carved symbols including a flower, double disc, Z-rod, mirror, and comb patterns.

The stone was discovered in 1811 at East Main of Dunnichen field and moved through several locations before finding its current home at Meffan Institute.

The carved symbols on the sandstone surface represent the artistic expression and symbolic language of the Pictish people in early medieval Scotland.

Visitors can examine this archaeological artifact at the Meffan Institute in Forfar, while a replica remains at Dunnichen Church for reference.

Among the common Pictish symbols carved on the stone, the flower design stands as an exceptional element rarely found on other stones.
