London Trocadero, Event venue in West End, London, England
London Trocadero is a multi-story protected building that combines event spaces, restaurants, and a hotel near Piccadilly Circus. The rooms are distributed across several levels and can hold up to 250 people for corporate functions or private celebrations.
The building opened in 1896 as a restaurant with a concert hall and served for years as a centre for entertainment in Victorian London. In the late 20th century it shifted into a shopping and gaming arcade before conversion into event spaces and a hotel began.
The original structure took its name from a Parisian ballroom and served as a meeting place at the edge of the West End. Today it fulfils several roles at once: corporate gatherings and private parties alternate with hotel guests experiencing the energy of Piccadilly Circus right outside the door.
The different floors are connected by stairs and lifts, though some older sections may not be fully accessible. Event inquiries should be made in advance to ensure the desired room is available.
In 2020 part of the building became the Zedwell Piccadilly Hotel, where all 728 rooms were deliberately built without windows. The rooms are fully darkened and soundproofed to offer guests undisturbed sleep in the middle of central London.
