Roberts Park, Grade II listed park in Saltaire, England
Roberts Park is a 14-acre park along the River Aire featuring a cricket ground, central bandstand, and a tree-lined promenade. The space offers a mix of recreational areas and open grounds for different activities.
William Gay designed the park in 1871 for Sir Titus Salt, who originally named it Saltaire Park. Sir James Roberts later donated it to Bradford Council in 1920.
The bronze statue of Sir Titus Salt and alpaca sculptures tell the story of the area's textile past and its connection to alpaca wool production. These artworks reflect the industrial heritage that shaped the community.
The park is accessible via an iron footbridge from Saltaire village and features a play area for children. The Half Moon Café offers refreshments for visitors.
The cricket ground here is one of only three cricket fields located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This makes it a special location for the sport.
