The Mansion House exhibits six bays facing Ffynone Road, featuring an octagonal tower with a spire and castellated bay windows with pointed details.
Built in 1863 by Evan Matthew Richards, the structure became the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Swansea in 1922 after serving as judges' lodgings.
The interior displays numerous items from the Vivian Collection, including period furniture and paintings that represent Welsh artistic heritage.
The building hosts corporate gatherings, private mayoral functions, and charity events throughout the year, maintaining its role in community engagement.
Two brass six-pounder cannons from 1804, cast at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, stand on the terrace as reminders of Napoleonic War preparations.
