St Mary Magdalen’s Roman Catholic Church, Roman Catholic church in Mortlake, England.
The Gothic Revival structure stands on North Worple Way with pointed arches, stone detailing, and stained glass windows by William Wailes.
Gilbert Blount, architect to Archbishop Nicholas Wiseman, designed this church which opened its doors to worshippers in 1852.
The first parish priest, John Wenham, studied at Magdalen College Oxford and transformed from Anglican army chaplain to Catholic leadership.
The church maintains regular Catholic services at 61 North Worple Way, under the administration of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.
The cemetery contains two marble mausoleums: one for Sir Richard Burton and Lady Burton, another for the Comte de Vezlo.
