St Michael and All Angels Church, Crewe Green, Victorian Gothic Revival church in Crewe Green, England.
St. Michael and All Angels Church is a Victorian Gothic Revival church built from red and blue brick with stone dressings and intricate diaper patterns covering the exterior walls. An octagonal turret at the northeast corner marks its most distinctive feature.
Architect George Gilbert Scott designed and built this structure between 1857 and 1858 for the 3rd Lord Crewe. The church reflects the religious building boom of the Victorian era and remains a Grade II* listed building today.
The interior features a fresco of the Last Supper on the reredos, and the pulpit includes dark marble shafts while the font displays symbols of the four Evangelists. These artworks shape the prayer space and create a personalized sacred environment.
The church can be entered through the main portal on the western side, with clear pathways guiding visitors through the interior layout. Daytime visits work best as natural light highlights the interior details and artwork throughout the building.
The churchyard holds graves of two World War II service members alongside that of Amicia Henrietta Fitzgerald, niece of the 3rd Lord Crewe. These burial sites tell stories of local wartime sacrifice and family connections spanning generations.
