Kinfauns was a 1950s bungalow with white walls, expansive windows, and landscaped gardens on the Claremont Estate in Surrey. The modern architectural style and generous glazing defined the building's character.
The property was acquired by George Harrison in 1964 and served as his residence and creative workspace until 1970. During this period, it functioned as both a personal home and a working studio for artistic endeavors.
The interior spaces received decorative wall patterns created by the design group The Fool in 1967. This artistic treatment reflected the creative spirit of the late 1960s.
The original building was completely demolished in 2003 and replaced by new construction on the same plot. Visitors can only view the site from outside today, as it remains private property.
Numerous demo recordings for The Beatles' White Album were made inside this suburban residence. These early song versions were captured in the private living spaces and document the creative process during a pivotal moment in the band's history.
