Ormesby Hall

Ormesby Hall is an 18th-century mansion in Redcar and Cleveland with red brick walls, large sash windows, and symmetrical proportions characteristic of Georgian architecture. The house and surrounding gardens form an estate that shows how country properties were organized and designed during this period.

The estate came into the hands of Ralph Jackson in the middle of the 18th century after passing through several aristocratic families in earlier centuries. These connections to the landowning classes shaped the property's development and significance.
