The church building, formerly the Akroydon Wesleyan Methodist Church from 1871, was acquired by the Serbian Orthodox community in 1965 following their relocation.
The church conducts services in three languages: Church Slavonic, Serbian, and English, maintaining connections with both Serbian heritage and local community needs.
The church property includes two function halls, parking facilities, and a vicarage, with Sunday Divine Liturgy services held at 11:00 AM each week.
King Peter II Karadjordjevic of Yugoslavia participated in the consecration ceremony of this church on September 5, 1965, officiated by Bishop Dionisije Milivojević.
