Sexey's Hospital, Grade I listed almshouse in Bruton, England.
The complex includes a west wing with a chapel, along with an east wing and gateway connected through a linking structure of limestone walls.
Founded in 1638 following Hugh Sexey's death, the hospital initially provided care and accommodation for twelve elderly residents and education for twelve boys.
The limestone building represents the architectural style of the 1630s, with its symmetrical design and carefully proportioned windows marking the period's construction methods.
Currently functioning as residential accommodation, the building maintains its original purpose of housing elderly individuals within its Grade I listed structure.
The institution operated both as a hospital for the elderly and as a school, with specific provisions for a governor, schoolmaster, and nurse in its early years.
