Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Wallasey, Gothic Revival Catholic church in Seacombe, England
The Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea features a stone exterior with a slate roof, five-bay nave, and large rose window on Wheatland Lane.
Edmund Kirby designed this Grade II listed building, which opened in July 1889 following the growth of the Catholic community near Birkenhead docks.
The interior displays marble altars, life-size statues of Our Lady and Saint Joseph, along with stained glass windows depicting scenes from Jesus Christ's life.
Services include Monday mass at 9:30 AM, Wednesday mass at noon, and Sunday masses at 11:00 AM and 6:30 PM with parking available within 250 meters.
The church houses a two-manual pipe organ that provides music during Sunday masses, while east window stained glass honors First World War casualties.
