Kilmory Castle, Gothic-revival country house in Lochgilphead, Scotland.

Kilmory Castle is a Gothic-revival country house featuring an L-shaped floor plan and an octagonal tower positioned at its south-west corner. Extensive landscaped gardens and parkland surround the building, creating a spacious setting on the property.

The property belonged to the Campbell family for centuries until Sir John Orde purchased it in 1828. He demolished the previous structure and constructed the present Gothic-revival house on the site.

The grounds host community gatherings and outdoor activities throughout the year. The green spaces around the building serve as a welcoming place where locals and visitors spend time together.

The building currently serves as council headquarters and is not open to visitors inside. The surrounding gardens and grounds are accessible for walking and exploring the landscaped areas.

A church stood on the site during the 1550s when the Abbot of Paisley held authority over these lands. This early religious use reveals a layer of the location's past that extends well before the current house.
