Mantralaya, Mumbai

Mantralaya is a government building in Churchgate that spans seven floors and houses the main administrative departments of the state. The Chief Minister's office and various other government units operate from this location.

The building was constructed in 1955 and received its current name Mantralaya in the 1980s to reflect the presence of ministers within its walls. A major fire in 2012 prompted extensive renovations and the addition of a 19-floor structure adjacent to the original complex.
