Saint Mary Church

Saint Mary Church in Tabriz is an Armenian place of worship featuring a central dome supported by four stone columns and biblical paintings on canvas covering the walls. The interior layout and decorative elements create the main visual character of the space.

An original church structure from the 12th century was documented by travelers such as Marco Polo, but the building visitors see today was reconstructed in 1785. This later rebuilding created the current form of the structure.
