The Church of Santa Sofia stands in central Lendinara with a prominent bell tower designed by Francesco Antonio Baccari between 1797 and 1857.
The structure originated in 1792 and underwent substantial modifications, including the addition of frescoes depicting the Transfiguration in the apse created in 1796.
The main altarpiece presents the Martyrdom of Santa Sofia with her daughters Faith, Hope, and Charity, painted in 1793 by Carlo Alvise Fabris.
The cathedral remains open for regular religious services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural features and extensive collection of religious art.
The sacristy contains a scale model of the bell tower alongside historical canvases, including works by Domenico Mancini and Domenico Fetti.
