Archeologic museum Pisani Dossi villa

The museum consists of two main sections displaying archaeological finds from local excavations and artifacts from Rome, Colombia, and Greece at different floor levels.

Built in the mid-15th century by Count Ambrogio Varese da Rosate, the villa was acquired by Carlo Alberto Pisani Dossi in 1892 through marriage to Carlotta Borsani.

The museum exhibits Lombard swords, shield bosses, local tombs, and artifacts from three distinct necropolises, including Celtic and Roman remains from the Mischia and Faustina sites.

Located at Via Francesco Mussi 38 in Corbetta, Milan province, the museum requires advance reservations for visits and maintains its historical setting without electrical lighting.

The museum library holds thousands of volumes, including a rare edition of Flos Duellatorum, one of the oldest fencing treatises in the world.
