Villino Raby, Liberty style villa in San Donato district, Turin, Italy.
Villino Raby is a three-story Liberty-style villa with asymmetrical architecture located in Turin's San Donato district. A large corner bay window and intricate wrought iron decorations frame the building's exterior.
Pietro Fenoglio and Gottardo Gussoni designed this private residence in 1901 for Michele Raby, drawing on Belgian and French architectural influences. The villa emerged during the Art Nouveau movement that reshaped Turin's architectural identity in the early 1900s.
The interior spaces display decorative elements by Domenico Smeriglio and original glass works created by master glassmaker Ciravegna. You can still see the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the rooms that remain accessible.
The building is located in the San Donato neighborhood and serves as the headquarters of Turin's Medical and Dental Association. Visitors should know that its current office function may limit access to certain areas of the building.
The internal staircase features an elaborate wrought iron railing crafted by Alessandro Mazzuccotelli. This railing represents the exceptional metalworking skill and technical ability required for such work during that era.
