Cardinal Domenico Grimani established the museum in 1523, donating ancient sculptures from his private collection gathered near Rome's Quirinale district.
The museum holds two Egyptian mummies from the first and second centuries, with one containing a fragment of the Book of Breathings papyrus.
The museum entrance ticket includes access to other St Mark's Square museums, with 370,491 visitors recorded in 2022.
The Galati Grimani statues represent Roman copies of Hellenistic originals, positioned alongside Eros and Psyche sculptures in room eight.
