Milan's Zoo, Historical zoo in Indro Montanelli Public Gardens, Milan, Italy.
The Milan Zoo occupied a section of the gardens from the duck pond to Palazzo Dugnani, housing up to 500 different animal species.
The zoological park, established in 1932 by Augusto and Mariuccia Molinar, leading Italian importers of African and Asian animals, operated until 1992.
The institution served as an educational center, offering programs about wildlife conservation and environmental awareness to local schools and families.
Located in central Milan near Porta Venezia, the former zoo site remains accessible through the public gardens, which now function as recreational spaces.
The zoo's elephant Bombay entertained visitors by walking on small bricks and playing a basic charleston rhythm with its foot.
