Palazzo Melzi d'Eril, Neoclassical palace in Via Manin, Milan, Italy.

Palazzo Melzi d'Eril is a neoclassical palace located on Via Manin in Milan, featuring a facade with pink hewn stone at ground level and regular window patterns across its upper stories. Inside, the building preserves a historic courtyard, a monumental staircase, and decorated rooms on the noble floor.

Francesco Melzi d'Eril, Vice President of the Italian Republic under Napoleon, purchased the palace in 1805 and commissioned extensive renovations in the neoclassical style. The building underwent complete restoration in more recent times, preserving its historical elements.

The palace now houses the headquarters of Fondazione Cariplo and displays artworks ranging from Tiepolo to early 20th-century pieces. Today it serves as a center where residents and visitors can encounter these works within the restored noble rooms.

The palace is located at Via Daniele Manin 23 in a central area of Milan, making it easy to reach. Visitors should note that access to the building is typically available during specific opening hours or guided tours.

The entrance features an arch framed by two pilasters extending to the main balcony, decorated with bas-reliefs and a figure of Hercules carved into the keystone. These sculptural details demonstrate the fine craftsmanship applied to the building's facade.
