中部國際機場聯絡鐵道橋, Railway bridge in Tokoname, Japan
The Chubu International Airport Railway Bridge extends across Ise Bay, connecting Tokoname city with the artificial island housing Chubu International Airport.
The construction of this maritime railway bridge started in March 2001 and reached completion in January 2004, managed by the Japan Railway Construction Corporation.
The bridge represents Japanese engineering excellence, joining only two other maritime railway bridges in Japan: the Kansai Airport Bridge and the Seto Ohashi Bridge.
The structure spans 1,076 meters in length and 9.46 meters in width, featuring double railway tracks that facilitate continuous passenger transport to the airport.
The bridge incorporates prestressed concrete with a continuous rigid-frame box girder design, utilizing precast segment cantilever construction methods.
