Ehime Prefectural Science Museum

The Ehime Prefectural Science Museum is a science museum in Niihama featuring three main exhibition areas dedicated to natural sciences, industrial technology, and scientific innovation across multiple floors. Each section combines displays, interactive elements, and educational materials covering different aspects of science and technology.

The museum opened in 1994 as a regional institution dedicated to advancing scientific education in the community. Architect Kisho Kurokawa designed the building, establishing it as a key venue for learning and scientific exploration.

Morning visits are generally less crowded, making it easier to explore the exhibits at your own pace. Comfortable shoes are recommended since you will navigate multiple floors and spend time at various displays.

The planetarium features an exceptionally large dome that ranks among the world's largest installations. Visitors can experience shows about the night sky and cosmic phenomena in a scale rarely found elsewhere.
