桜橋, Steel bridge in Okayama, Japan.
The Sakura Bridge spans across the Asahi River, connecting the Kita and Naka wards of Okayama City with a length of 225 meters.
Construction of the Gerber steel bridge was completed in 1966, featuring a maximum span of 49 meters and a width of 9 meters.
The bridge serves as a boundary marker between districts, with the Higashiyama Junior High School and Kyotobashi Elementary School zones adjacent to its approaches.
During peak hours, the absence of right-turn lanes at the eastern end creates traffic congestion for commuters crossing between Funahashi and Sakurabashi districts.
The bridge structure incorporates separate pedestrian pathways on both sides, though narrow, enabling foot traffic between the riverbank communities.
