Umenohashi, Footbridge across Asano River in Kanazawa, Japan

The wooden footbridge extends over the Asano River, connecting both banks while offering views of traditional buildings and seasonal cherry blossoms.

Built in 1910, the bridge remained intact during the severe flood of 1953 that destroyed many other structures along the Asano River.

The bridge serves as a central point for spring hanami celebrations when locals gather to view cherry blossoms along the riverbanks.

Visitors can reach the bridge through multiple transportation options, including nearby Kagatsume Station and Kitama Station on the Hokuriku Railroad.

The bridge provides direct access to the Chaya district, featuring traditional tea houses and ryotei restaurants on the east bank.
