Villa La Sultana, Historical casino building in Ospedaletti, Italy.

Villa La Sultana is a monumental building with three large domes that combines French Renaissance architecture with Italian design elements. The interior features a spacious atrium with an octagonal ceiling and multiple rooms designed for social events and leisure activities.

The building was constructed in 1883 under architect S.M. Biacini and opened Italy's first licensed casino in 1884. Casino operations ended in 1905 when gaming moved to San Remo.

The building served as a central gathering place for international visitors who attended conferences, balls, and religious services from different faith communities. This location played an important role in the region's social life until World War I.

Access to the building requires advance arrangement since it is now a private residence and not regularly open to visitors. It helps to check with local sources before visiting to understand current conditions.

After the casino closed, the building served as a military facility during World War II and later became a private residence. This transformation shows how the structure passed through multiple phases of use.
