Kurokuma Falls, Waterfall in Ajigasawa, Japan.

The waterfall cascades down 85 meters with a width of 15 meters on a tributary stream of the Akaishi River in Aomori Prefecture.

The Japanese Ministry of the Environment included Kurokuma Falls in their official selection of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls published in 1990.

The water formation creates a natural shape that resembles Kannon Bosatsu with hands joined in prayer, making it a place of religious significance.

Visitors can explore the waterfall throughout the year without entrance fees, with recommended viewing time between one and two hours.

The name Kurokuma translates to Black Bear Falls, as the falling water pattern forms the shape of a standing bear against the rock face.
