Century Toyota Building

The Century Toyota Building is a 16-story office tower 81 meters high with 3 basement levels located in central Nagoya near the train station. The structure houses Toyota Tsusho Corporation headquarters, with shops and services occupying the lower floors and providing convenient connections to the adjacent station.

The structure was built between 2001 and 2002 on the site of the former Nagoya Miyako Hotel, which had closed due to competition from newer hotels. Its construction represented a shift in the district toward modern office and business functions.

The building serves as a workplace hub where employees and visitors move between the station and office spaces throughout the day. It reflects how modern Japanese cities integrate commercial and office functions into single structures to serve the daily flow of people.

The building is easily accessible from the train station and features stairs and elevators for moving between floors. The lower floors with shops are open to the public and provide convenient access for visitors exploring the area.

The building features a sunken garden and open piloti spaces along Nishiki Street that bring greenery and natural light into the urban environment. This design element creates a transition zone between the busy street level and the interior spaces.
