Rhine Bridge, Road bridge in Rhenen, Netherlands.
The Rhine Bridge connects both banks of the Lower Rhine at Rhenen with a concrete and steel structure. It links Utrecht and Gelderland provinces across the waterway, carrying vehicles and pedestrians.
The original bridge was severely damaged during World War II and required complete reconstruction afterward. The rebuild restored the vital crossing between the two provinces.
The bridge provides views of the Cunera Church tower and Grebbeberg hill, which represent significant landmarks in the Dutch riverside landscape.
The bridge is best explored on foot or by bicycle, as it has well-developed pedestrian and cycling paths. The area is easily accessible and offers good conditions for both modes of movement.
The area is a junction point for several hiking routes, including the Nederrijn-Grebbeberg loop and the Marspad route. Walkers often use these paths to explore the riverside landscape and nearby hills.
