Skaryszewski Park, Public park in Praga-Południe district, Warsaw, Poland
Skaryszewski Park is an expansive green space in the Praga-Południe district with wide paths, artificial hills, waterfalls, and lakes. The grounds blend rose gardens, flower beds, and open lawns into a fully landscaped setting.
The park was created in 1905 on meadows from the former village of Skaryszew and developed over decades with hills and water features. Between 1929 and 1945 it carried the name Paderewski Park before returning to its original designation.
The park displays sculptures throughout its grounds that visitors encounter on walks. These artworks show how artists shaped the landscape and what themes mattered to them in that era.
The park works well for walking, jogging, or picnicking on open green areas, and the lake offers water sports options. The wide paths are easy to navigate, and multiple entrances allow you to reach different sections.
The park contains a memorial to allied pilots who dropped supplies during the Warsaw Uprising and died in a plane crash. This monument recalls the aerial warfare that took place over the city.
