Cichoń

Cichoń is a mountain summit in the Beskid Wyspowy range offering views of valleys and neighboring peaks through a network of marked trails. The summit sits between Tymbark and Dobra with routes of varying difficulty.

The hiking routes around Cichoń were developed during Poland's mountain tourism expansion in the 19th century. These paths continue to link several historical locations and reflect how important the area became for early mountaineers.

An educational trail near the mountain features stations that display local rock formations and preserved fragments of ancient ocean beds. Visitors can observe the geological layers at these stops and understand how the landscape was shaped.

The mountain is accessible from several starting points with well-marked trails in different colors. The best time for hiking is May through October when conditions are stable and visibility at the top is good.

A historic blacksmith workshop from the Franz Joseph era still stands near the mountain base with its original equipment intact. This overlooked craft landmark gives visitors a window into daily work from an earlier time.
