The mountain was first documented in 1365 under the name Czeczen. Over time it served various purposes including royal hunting grounds and later as a refuge for resistance fighters.
The mountain's name comes from local dialect, describing the distinctive dip between its two peaks. Visitors today use the summit as a gathering point for hiking and enjoying views across the surrounding landscape.

The meadow below the summit serves as a takeoff point for paragliders exploring the surrounding valleys. On clear days, visitors can spot distant peaks including Babia Góra.
