Grodzisko

Grodzisko rises to 618 meters above sea level and displays a distinctive cone shape in the Beskid Wyspowy mountain range with densely forested slopes. These steep slopes create a striking profile visible from surrounding areas.

The summit bears remnants of an ancient fortification with ditches, moats, and ramparts dating from the Lusatian culture through the early Piast period. These structures show a long history of human occupation and defense at this elevated location.

The summit served as a shelter for a partisan unit during World War II, remembered today through memorial plaques and a cross. These markers show how people sought refuge in this mountain place during difficult times.

The path to the summit is marked as a blue hiking trail starting from Poznachowice Gorne and climbs approximately 200 meters through dense forest. This route offers a moderate hiking experience suitable for people with basic mountain walking experience.

Between the neighboring peaks of Cubla Gora and Ksiaza Gora stands a pillar-shaped chapel built in 1869, accompanied by resting areas with benches. This small house of prayer offers an unexpected place for reflection in the mountain landscape.
