Księża Góra, Mountain summit in Beskid Wyspowy range, Poland.
Księża Góra is a mountain summit rising to 829 meters in the Beskid Wyspowy range. The peak features two uneven summits that create a distinctive silhouette when seen from certain angles.
The mountain forests were a hunting ground for King Władysław I during the 14th century. During World War II, the remote slopes provided shelter for resistance fighters.
The name Ciecień refers to the distinctive notch between the two uneven peaks that stands out when viewed from the south. Hikers use this recognizable shape as a landmark when navigating the area.
A yellow-marked hiking trail departs from Wiśniowa village and ascends through forest paths to reach the summit. The route is suitable for day hikers but requires proper footwear for uneven ground.
The western slopes above Wiśniowa contain a meadow that has become a launching point for paragliders. This surprising vantage point offers sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.
