Korzkiew Castle

Korzkiew Castle is a stone fortress built on a rocky hilltop at about 300 meters above sea level. The original rectangular defensive tower was later expanded with additional structures to form a multi-part complex.

Jan z Syrokomli founded the castle in 1352 as a rectangular defensive tower to protect the surrounding area. Over time, the fortress was enlarged and developed into a broader residential complex.

The castle belongs to a chain of medieval fortresses that connect the region today as a hiking route linking multiple historical sites. Visitors can walk between these locations and understand how communities once relied on these strongholds for protection.

The location operates today as a hotel with four guest rooms in the tower and gate building, each equipped with a bathroom and fireplace. Visitors can stay overnight and explore the chambers while experiencing the historic setting.

Guests can request candlelit dinners featuring Italian cuisine paired with wines from Castello di Tagliolo. This connection to another European castle creates a special dining experience within the medieval setting.
