Pusta Wielka is a mountain summit in the Beskid Sądecki range that reaches 1061 meters above sea level. Its slopes are covered with forest interrupted by natural clearings that create open views across the landscape.
This mountain has long served as part of traditional Carpathian trekking routes that connected mountain communities. The paths remain largely unchanged from their original course through the highlands.
The paths around Pusta Wielka connect different sections of the Popradzki Landscape Park, representing traditional mountain routes of the Carpathian region.
A marked trail of about 7.5 kilometers reaches the summit from Żegiestów Zdrój, requiring roughly four to five hours of walking. The ascent is steady, and the route is well-signposted throughout with shelter spots available along the way.
Below the summit lies Grota Nad Pustą Wielką, a small crevice cave about two meters long embedded within the rock formation. This geological feature is often missed by visitors focused on reaching the peak.
