Chata Rybacka w Jastarni

The Fisherman's Hut Museum in Jastarni is a small wooden building made from shipwreck materials that offers a look into the lives of coastal residents. Its rooms display fishing tools, household goods, and personal belongings that record how people actually lived here.

The house was built in 1881 when wooden construction using shipwreck materials was common for homes in this coastal town. Decades later it was established as a museum in 1992 to preserve this way of life for visitors to see.

The building's walls contain mysterious large holes whose origin and purpose remain unexplained even today. The foundation of field stones laid on sand has managed to survive for over a century, itself an interesting example of old building techniques.
