Ośrodek Oporu Jastarnia, Military fortification museum in Jastarnia, Poland.
Ośrodek Oporu Jastarnia is a military fortification on the Hel Peninsula consisting of four concrete bunkers named Sokół, Sabała, Saragossa, and Sęp. The complex features preserved defensive barriers and structures that once formed the outer perimeter, with exhibition spaces displaying period military equipment inside the bunkers.
Polish military engineers built these bunkers in spring and summer of 1939 to defend the peninsula from approaching forces. The fortifications represented a significant effort to prepare the region for the conflict that would soon follow.
The site reflects how local forces prepared to protect their peninsula from invasion. Visitors can see actual weapons and military gear that soldiers would have used during this period.
The site is located a few kilometers west of Jastarnia town center and welcomes visitors throughout the year on marked educational routes. Wear sturdy shoes as you will walk on uneven ground, and allow several hours to explore both the bunkers and surrounding defensive structures.
The site preserves original anti-tank barriers and infantry obstacles that reveal how defenders planned to block advancing vehicles. These physical structures allow visitors to grasp the actual defensive strategy rather than just read about it.
