Observation tower on Czernica, Observation tower on Mount Czernica in Wałbrzych Mountains, Poland.
The observation tower on Czernica is a steel structure rising from the mountainside with five viewing levels at different heights. Each platform offers unobstructed views across the surrounding forested peaks and toward the distant Sudetes.
The tower was built in 2018 as a collaborative project on a mountain long known for attracting hikers and outdoor visitors. The construction combined modern engineering with materials sourced from the local area.
The triangular design of the tower reflects the collaboration of three local municipalities, incorporating 50 cubic meters of local larch wood in its construction.
The tower is accessible via marked hiking paths that start from nearby towns and pass through forest terrain. Benches and wooden shelters at the site provide rest stops where visitors can take in the views and catch their breath.
The structure incorporates a substantial amount of regional larch wood throughout its construction, making it a project deeply rooted in local resources. This wood gives the otherwise steel construction a warm, natural appearance that blends with the forest setting.
