Zespół budynków mieszkalno-usługowych „Bolek” i „Lolek” w Łodzi, Postmodern residential buildings in Łódź, Poland.

This residential complex comprises two white buildings featuring concrete panel facades with prominent joint details and lacquered wooden accents on their exteriors. The design emphasizes visual contrasts between solid wall surfaces and articulated structural elements that define their appearance.

Built between 1978 and 1984 by architects Bolesław Kardaszewski and Joanna Matuszewska, the complex replaced earlier 19th-century structures on the same site. The project represented an important transition in the city's architectural development during that period.

The two buildings carry names chosen through a newspaper poll, referencing both the architect and a beloved Polish animated series, showing how residents embraced the complex as part of their daily life. The way locals use and refer to these structures reflects how architecture becomes woven into community identity.

The buildings stand at Zamenhofa Street 1/3 and 5 in a central location within the city. A comprehensive renovation in 2020-2021 upgraded thermal efficiency while keeping the original architectural features intact.

These structures represent the final major architectural work of Bolesław Kardaszewski, merging modernist and postmodernist styles within a single project. This blend of two design approaches makes them a distinctive example of architectural evolution during that era.
