Warsaw Mechanical Bakery, Industrial bakery complex in Praga-Północ, Poland.
The Warsaw Mechanical Bakery is an industrial building complex made of brick with large windows located on Stolarska Street in eastern Warsaw. Several production halls are arranged side by side, showing the industrial design typical of the early 1900s.
The bakery was founded in 1902 and brought automated production methods to Warsaw's bread industry. From 1925 onward, Marceli Wiechowicz owned and managed the operation.
The bakery shows how Polish bread making shifted from handcraft to factory work in the early 1900s. The buildings reflect the lives of workers who adapted to working alongside mechanical equipment.
The monument-protected site is located at Stolarska Street 2/4 in the Praga-Północ district and is easily visible from the street. The exterior facades and windows still display their original features from the early 1900s.
The bakery received monument status A-1598 in 2020, protecting its mechanical equipment and production spaces. This recognition preserved rare technical facilities from decay and made the site an example of industrial heritage protection in Warsaw.
