Bródno Jewish Cemetery

The cemetery spans 33 hectares and contains approximately 200,000 graves with numerous stone monuments and traditional Jewish matzevot marking burial sites.

Established in 1780, this burial ground became a crucial part of Warsaw's Jewish community and contains mass graves from the World War II period.

The cemetery features traditional Jewish burial elements including ohels, small memorial houses constructed over graves of important rabbis and religious leaders.

Visitors can access the cemetery through the main entrance on Odrowąża Street, where an exhibition explains Jewish funeral customs and cemetery layout.

The cemetery holds the remains of Marek Edelman, the final commander of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, alongside other resistance fighters.
